Business case structure: the skeleton every case question shares

Case questions vary wildly in topic, but almost all of them share the same underlying skeleton: clarify, break it into parts, estimate, then recommend.

A business case question, "should we launch this product in a new city?", is really testing whether you can break a big, fuzzy question into smaller, answerable pieces, rather than trying to reason about the whole thing at once in your head.

🎯 Explain Like I'm Hired Instead of guessing "yes, launch it" right away, a strong answer breaks the question into pieces first. Example: "let me break this into three parts: is the market big enough, can we serve it profitably, and what's the competitive risk," then works through each piece with reasonable estimates, landing on a recommendation the structure actually supports.
